On Friday this week a friend (shown here) and I will be setting out to walk the length of the Leeds Liverpool canal in North West England to raise money for charity, a distance of 128 miles in 4 days.

I took this shot as we were nearing the end of our final training walk yesterday as we emerged from some tree cover. I played around with the picture a little and added a vignette and despite a little bit of double image in the centre dire to the HDR I loved the result so thought I’d share it.

You can read more of our efforts to raise money on our walk by clicking here:

The Towpath Trek

I hope to have a whole series of images collected along the way to add to future blogs.

Wish us luck!

  2. Really good shot. Full of atmosphere.

  3. dude! that looks otherworldly!!

  4. Gorgoeous! The vignette often looks hokey, but here it adds a dramatic sense of depth. Nicely done! And thanks for the like!

  5. love the mysterious sense!
