Deep in the heart of the English Lake District is arguably its jewel.

Lake Windermere is, at 11 miles long, England’s longest lake.

It is flanked on both sides by fells and ancient woodlands. Whilst walking along its shore earlier this year we emerged into a clearing and were presented by this beautiful view.

As always I value your thoughts and feedback on my images.
