One of my favourite places to visit on the river Dart is Greenway.
Being a huge Agatha Christie fan the opening of her holiday home at Greenway to the public a few years ago meant that any time spent in this area must include a visit.
The National Trust spent eight years restoring this house to its original state as it was when Agatha Christie and her family would spend their holidays here. Contrary to popular belief she never lived here (she was born and raised in nearby Torquay) not did she ever write any of her books here although many of them are based here including “Dead Mans Folly” and “Ordeal by Innocence.”
The house is filled with artefacts and possessions belonging to the family and is a fascinating insight into her family life.
Whatever you do if you are in the area, do not miss a chance to take a look.

I have not visited but I will next time i am in that area. Beautiful picture.
Huge Agatha fan – what a stop this would make!
